To:sot_shift from: Dan Schwartz date: 10 Aug 99, 6am EDT Subject: SOT shift report, Shift H19 -------- See http://asc.harvard.edu/acis/SOT_reports/sot-shift.html, or /proj/ascwww/AXAF/extra/science/htdocs/acis/SOT_reports/Aug_09_1999_H.txt. Shift H19, (A19). Start at 22:02:00 GMT = 09:00pm 5 Aug EDT End 06:00am 5 Aug SOT Lead DAS Spac/Aspect RAC FOT/Sci liason HRC EJ,GA,JHC ACIS RB,YB (Times will be given in GMT on day 222. In general times are rough, not precise.) PLAN Get ACIS bias frames down in Format 2. (DONE) Go to Format 4/5, do OBC-A on-orbit load (DONE) Run CAP 91A to reacquire 4 fid lights, 4 monitor windows. (DONE) Start ACIS background measurements after OnOrbit load is complete. (DONE) Run CAP 206 for disabling HRC HV SCS's 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92,93. (DONE) CAP 70 step 1, enable RADMON uplink SCS 129 radiation belt shutdown. EVENTS ~03:00 run CAP 91A, get 4 fid lights in the correct windows. In Format 2 running OBSID 62708 to get ACIS background data. This will be interupted for OBC on-orbit load. 04:15 Stop ACIS science run, ends OBSID 62708 04:22 Change to FORMAT 4. 04:41 OBC-A selected, halted, in-load. ~06:00 Go to format 5 06:10 Run CAP 206, disable HRC HV SCS's ~07:40 switch to FORMAT 4. Do a bias update (for the low rate gyros -- use manufacturers specs), AND an attitude update. 09:18 Back to format 2, OBSID 62707. Resume ACIS runs to measure orbital background. NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS During the OBC-A load we anticipated that the OBSID would be reset to zero. Therefore we did a Stop Science command to ACIS to end OBSID 62708 early. After returning to format 2 from format 4/5, we continued with OBSID 62707. GRETA is up and running at the SOT LEAD/ACA station. Problems running CAP 207 on CPE demonstration. Problems with commanding zero pulse widths to VDE. Another CAP generated to allow proceeding. Vacuum monitor reads 7.8 10^-6. Sometimes fluctuates down to 7.4. The Ball patch for fid lights was received from the TRW SMF. However, when the OFLS built the command load, only the first of the four vectors were created. Previously this problem had been noted and fixed for OBC patches; It must be fixed (if not working) for the ACA, SIM, and IEPHIN as well. ------------------------------------------------------- Dan Schwartz, MS #3 das@head-cfa.harvard.edu phone: (617)495-7232 FAX: (617)495-7356 cell phone: (617)512-5627 pager: 800-759-8352 PIN 1636502 or e-mail 1636502@skytel.com -------------------------------------------------------
