ACA was monitoring four fidlites in the correct window; high background flag was set because of stray light. HRC was on, low voltage power only, EPHIN was nominal, and ACIS was continuing its Background Orbit Characterization. As of 1220, spacecraft configuration: IU-A, CTRU-A, RCTUs A Side, OBC-A Online, OBC-B Offline; both OBCs flt SW 4.8 on-orbit image; VDE-A operations again, SPE-B configured for IRU-B & FSSA-B operations, autonomous unloading enabled again, momentum monitor fault safing action (SCS #9) remains disabled, commanded attitude monitor and safing action (SCS #28) remains disabled, pointing is NSM (normal sun mode), 90 deg solar array angle, vacuum 7.6e-6 torr, link via Canberra-DSN direct-512-LGA-B. The fidlite stability patch for the PEA's, designed to cure the problem of ACA loss of fidlites, is still being tested on the hardware test bed at Ball, even though the patch has been delivered to OCC. A decision was made by Fred Wojtalik that the patch shall not be uploaded until all testing is complete, and Ball and TRW have indicated complete satisfaction that it is ready. This means that we won't upload the patch until after the sunshade door is open. That will require us to plan a time for testing this patch. It may mean we wait until a time after first light that doesn't conflict with other phase 2 activities, and happens a few hours before we enter the radiation zone.
