There will be a meeting at 8 am Monday Aug 23 to review the p7 load. The original plan had us doing the grating insertion today, Aug 22. That was the earliest possible time, not taking incomplete DSN coverage into account. The timeline extended further when HRC turnon was delayed for better vacuum. Then the safe mode event took 48 hrs. The grating insertion is now planned for the p8 load, starting Thursday, Aug 26 at 0200 GMT. Ed discussed the grating insertion plan with Keith Havey, Dan Muleady, Claude Canizares, Bill Forman and Jan Vrtilek. We plan to have Keith and Dan submit an ER to Ken Gage Monday AM, for the real-time activities, keyed to the OR items with OBSIDs 52 & 1098. We understand that the deadline for completing the p8 load is Wed Aug 25, ~2 pm EDT, for uplinking on the DSN pass at 2005 GMT. Chandra is operating autonomously with no significant incident. The ACA has tracked very well, 3 fids and 5 stars on every occasion this shift. 235:0058 Vacuum is 3.5e-6 torr.
