The updated P7 load will start after OBSID 1197 has started; the redo of 1197 has been assigned an OBSID of 1281. Because much of the P7 load time spent so far has been in the radiation zone, the end time of the updated P7 load will only be pushed out by ~9 hours. The P8 OR-list contains the initial HRC-I shutter scan and focus measurement. I believe that there is a need to remove the ORs with OBSIDs 1207-1210 (HRC-I shutter focus) from the list. These would then be performed via real-time commanding (using the assigned ORs) with the shutter positions determined from the shutter scans. A block of time with a sufficient duration for the real-time commanding activities would have to be allocated. The remaining ORs in the list would then go once this period ended. There will be a meeting at 3pm EDT in the OCC conference room to discuss OTG insertion/retraction activities. CAP process update: from now on, any request for real-time activities to be performed during future contacts are to be submitted for review at the 9am Standup Status Meeting the day before we wish to perform them. This is so all parties are aware of what is being planned and conflicts can be resolved. Naturally, CAPs for urgent spacecraft safety or performance issues are exempt from this restriction. ACIS provided a CAP (#337) to collect DEA housekeeping during the contact at the radiation zone exit. AOS for the contact was delayed due to ground station problems. Delay in acquiring telemetry was too long to run the ACIS CAP. Due to delay we extended the contact time to 17:15 GMT. ACIS decides to use this opportunity to stop the non-useful science run initiated by the P7 load and use the extended contact to run their CAP. However, SCS slots 190 and 191, used by the ACIS CAP, are showing INACTIVE - contents of the slots were dumped for examination. These were the ACIS start and stop science SCSs. After clearing SCS slots, the ACIS CAP run was started. During the the CAP execution the downlink quality deteriorated and we went LOS for a time. ACIS decides to abort running the CAP and cleans up after themselves. P7b review meeting: Load provisionally approved - FOT-MP needs to perform CARD compliance review. Load starts 236:20:57, ends 238:11:13. ACIS-I fid-light positions not yet updated in ODE, boresight numbers used were copied from ACIS-S. Kevin Marsh is writing a CAP to handle the termination of the P7 and activation of P7b load. Rough plan: - Disable SCS 130 (P7 load) - Uplink/Enable/Activate SCS 128 (P7b load) - Send ACIS Stop Science after 20:55 (ACIS bias from 1197 done) but before 21:20 (ACIS start science of 1st P7b OR) Kevin Marsh will supply P8 review info when the products are issued (later today).
