Using real observation IDs is wreaking havoc with the Data System. Ken Gage needs updated HRC-I FID positions and focus position for the characteristics file to process the next load. We (Rob and I) will try and process some data during the early part of this comm pass to get the FID positions. Will check status of HRC focus when personnel arrive. Sent a file of HRC FID positions to RAC, data taken when HRC was at SIM FA Pos -900, the current estimate of the best focus position. He will process the angles for updating the characteristics data for HRC-I. Plan for the P10 load is to NOT update the characteristics file for HRC I best focus. We will command via the current CAP 352 to the estimated best focus (-900) and leave it there before the LOS at 244:00:15. Subsequent observations in P9 do not adjust FA position, nor do any observations in P10 (final load should be reviewed for this). Therefore no focus motions will be performed and P10 should execute at this best estimated focus. The characteristics file will be updated for P11, based on the shutter focus test data [and the focus plate measurements]. HRC Duty Scientist should command the SIM FA position to the -900 position again at the next comm pass (04:00 GMT) using CAP 352 because the current load resets the focus position to the current nominal -505 during LOS. That observation (1290) will be out of focus, but the remaining 3 (OBSIDs 1291, 1292, 1293) should be "in focus" when the CAP is executed at AOS.
