But the big question was, who was the winner ? You see, we started a pool as to what the ACIS focal plane temperature would be at acquisition. It was -123.1 C when we left, would it keep cooling or would it be stable OR perhaps it would actually increase ! The picks were: Yousaf: -124.0 Royce: -122.7 Bev: -123.1 Paul: -125.0 (ever the optimist) And the winner is:::::::::::::: IT'S A TIE !!!!!! ::::::::::: The focal plane was at -122.9 C, so it was actually warmer !!!!!! So, Bev and Royce tie !!!!!!! We will have to check the data, but it appears unlikely that we got much colder than -123.1 C. If we want to go colder, we will have to try turning off the detector housing heater. 3) We execute steps 8-12 of CAP 529 to reset the ACIS focal plane temperature.
