MISSION PLANNING: - 16 actions reported from load review. OPERATIONS: - Recorder dumps and load uplinks were all successful - Ran CAP 538 last night to reset ACA integration time ENGINEERING: - CAP 537 Submitted. I reviewed this with Wallace after the meeting and signed off on it. This CAP is planned to be executed on Jan 3 when we are passing thru perihelion. It will re-initialize the EPS software and force the batteries thru a charge cycle. The initialization procedure connects the arrays (all strings) to the three batteries. The software then monitors battery temps and disconnects the full arrays from the batteries (each an individual action) when a 3 deg C temp rise is observed. The battery then goes into normal trickle charge mode with one string attached. This procedure has been done many times before (20 or so) and is being done at at this time to acquire engineering data on the performance of the solar arrays (this is the highest current that they should produce since we will be near perihelion and at an attitude where the spacecraft produces glint on the SA's). - Leon McKendrick and Jeff Shirer reported on another current fluctuation in IRU1 Gyro2. This will be written up in the quarterly and watched closely. There was no effect on pointing. The West Coast is also very interested. This will be put on the OPS action list. 3) Quicklook --------- OBSID Target Instrument Time Comment ----- ------ ---------- -------------- ------- 00494 A1795 ACIS-S 1999:354:05:39 In book, looks good.
