Date: Wed, 21 Jul 1999 22:52:04 -0400 From: Tom Aldcroft During the pre-launch B-shift, nearly everything went smoothly and at this time all systems are go. We are still on track for nominal launch. The only signicant anomaly which arose was a power outage at the checkout station (COS). The COS has primary responsibility for monitoring IUS telemetry/safety prior to launch. For a short time Sunnyvale was also unable to receiver IUS telemetry, and no parties were able to monitor IUS safety. After a flurry of discussion concerning workarounds and flight rules, power and telemetry were restored to both stations. A number of newly-approved ACIS procedures (for day 9 and later) were accepted (by CAP #8) for inclusion in the tar file. Let's hope that Paul and the A-crew can get this thing launched! :-) -Tom
