EVENTS DONE OBSID -------------- ---- ----- AOS 2204 119 Saw 3 fids, 5 stars, gratings out 2205 LOS expected at 2400 NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS --------------------- ACIS telecon ------------- Gordon: Total proton reflection at one degree = 12.5% +/-4%, at 300 keV. Mark: slow motion readout, from 40-640 ms, reduces charge loss, but CTI didn't change. It might have gotten worse if there were a trap in time range 12-200 ms. Slow readout recovers trailing charge, but CTI doesn't notice that. Raw mode data test found 110 usec trap. Cathryn Grant found 2 ms time const by event pair technique. Time scales 0-400 usec, found 110 usec, 0.12-40 ms, found 2 ms, 12-200 ms, no trap. Will also do diagnostics on alternative readout modes, ala squeegee, to understand it better. We really need to talk about energy resolution, not charge loss, or CTI. Unfortunately, the lab tests only illuminate 200 rows. Cathryn's best result is to improve the energy resolution from 8060-500 eV at MnK. Plan to do cold irradiation at GSFC in January - why did performance get worse when we warmed it up? Rob: safing - got agreement last week on implementing changes, including backout capability. Dan Muleady will be ready to change OBC next week.
