Shift report H82 October 12 1999, 21:00 EDT, GMT 286:01:00 The "ACIS Realtime Intervention Team" was at work again tonight. We interrupted OBSID 18 with CAP 470. The point was to perform some diagnostic dumps of FEP 0 memory & BEP memory and to power-down the FEPs before the next observation. Hopefully, the power-cycling will clear the problem and the diagnostic data will tell us exactly what the problem was. GMT Event 286:00:00 AOS on DSS 54 [Madrid] 286:00:01 FMT 2, science run in progress, gratings retracted 286:00:15 start CAP 470, startScience, dump "General portion" of FEP memory 286:00:27 execute HWREGS1, HWREGS2, & DCACHE dumps 286:00:30 loss of com as XMTR is turned off and on 286:00:31 ICACHE dump 286:00:35 BIAS MAP dump 286:00:39 lots of TLM dropouts 286:00:50 2nd attempt to dump BIAS MAP, Peter will cobble the two together or use the SSR dump data 286:01:04 power-down the FEPs 286:01:09 daily load powers up the FEPs and reconfigures for OBSID 1386 286:01:11 startScience 286:01:35 start BEP D Cache dump 286:01:40 LOS Problems: 1. We skipped the dump of the Image buffer because we repeated the dump of the Bias buffer. 2. The loads to dump the BEP D cache and I cache were inadvertently built for the B side of the OBC. Mark quickly rebuilt the loads for the A side and renamed them 1A_RBDCA_201.cld and 1A_RBICA_202.cld NOTES: We will need to check the event data at the next few passes to see if FEP 0 is behaving nominally again. ACIS: Paul Plucinsky and the ENTIRE ACIS Flight SW team consisting of Peter Ford, Jim Francis and Royce Buehler
