Upon AOS, ACA had two fidlites (2nd window fidlite was missing) and 5 stars. By 1212, we were maneuvering, so we had no stars, 2 fids. Upon target acquisition, we again got 5 stars, still only 2 fids. John Chappell found that after the shutter focus runs were complete, the OFLS did not automatically set the shutter positions to the default location; we are now doing observations with the shutters partially blocking the HRC. John arranged a CAP to retract the shutters at 245:1715 (comm specially scheduled two hours early for this). We acquired a GRETA laptop at SOT Manager station to replace the one that was taken away yesterday. Bruce Twambly will come shortly to set it up and restore the display pages. The following is an edited excerpt from Howard Cohn's flt S/W patch database at http://ipa.harvard.edu/ddts/ddts_main as of ~10:00 am. Instructions for making a query are in the SOT Manager Operational Notes log at the TST room SOT Manager station. The column labeled St is Status, and Sv is Severity. OTG Data PRs 77 & 78 have been approved for implementation by the FD board. The report from the previous shift, "HRC status 2IMCLST, imaging detector HVPS current limit enable, was giving an exception advisory." was investigated by Mike Juda. He found that these events were all normal operations whenever the HVPS state is changed. For example, during a ramp-up it occurs six times. At about 1730 we found out that SOC had an approved CAP to insert and retract the HETG under software control, and were planning to execute it during the current comm pass. We told them not to, since it would interfere with the current HRC operation. At this morning's standup meeting, we heard that it would be executed tomorrow at 2 PM. Somehow the approval process should be modified to have SOT sign CAPs so we could have picked up this kind of problem. Ron Felice was informed of this procedural problem.
