Shift L55 Start at 255:12:00 GMT = 08:00am 12 Sep EDT End 02:00pm 12 Sep SOT Lead DAS Spac/Aspect FOT/Sci liason HRC ACIS PPP (Times will be given in GMT on day 258. In general times are rough, not precise.) PLAN Continue 200 Ksec observation of HR1099 using ACIS-S/HETG, coordinated with HST. EVENTS Start shift out of comm. Format 2, OBSID 62538, pointed at RA=54.21575, dec = 0.57374, roll= 100.27239. HETG IN, at ACIS-S aim/focus position. (This is from note 7 of previous shift report, M54) NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS Have planned for possible ACIS activities tomorrow. The concern is the potential for conflict with the eclipse operations. However, from a power standpoint the potential activities only involve 4 watts of focal plane heaters. So ACIS is cleared to either do, or not do, activities involving the focal plane up to -60 deg C. There are available line-of-sights for extended comm passes tomorrow -- pending discussions at Lincoln labs this am the ACIS team may ask for some in order to do diagnostic activities on day 259. ------------------------------------------------------- Dan Schwartz, MS #3 das@head-cfa.harvard.edu phone: (617)495-7232 FAX: (617)495-7356 cell phone: (617)512-5627 pager: 800-759-8352 PIN 1636502 or e-mail 1636502@skytel.com -------------------------------------------------------
