In general times are rough, not precise.) PLAN Continue running load P14b, ACIS-S/HETG observation of HR1099. We are using OBSID 62538 (instead of 0064) because of the initial failure of HETG insertion on day 257:21:12 Plan ACIS activities for intercepting load P15 EVENTS Start shift in comm. Expected to last until 2100. Configuration is identical to that reported above, as it should be. NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS 9am meeting plans the following ACIS diagnostics. OVERVIEW: 1. CTI measurements using the external radioactive source, at every 10 deg C interval from -110 to -60. Takes 12 hours. 2. Dark current measurements at -60 deg C, with both standard clocks and with +/- 5v clocking. Takes 6 hours. 3. Cool back to -110 for pre-belt CTI measurements. Takes 4 hours. Details of a timeline: Relative Duration time (hrs) (min) Activity -------- -------- -------------------------------------------- 0 10(?) S array (top priority) I Array 18.0 240 Reset focal plane temperature to -110 DegC 18 to 21 60 REAL TIME CONTACT to do a cold boot, load patches 22.0 Ready to measure CTI prior to radiation belt entry. Must have Format 2, with SIM at HRC-S position. Note: The intent is to plan this in a load, such that the 22 hours relative time is early enough that we can do the "standard" pre-radiation belt CTI measurement. It may occur earlier. Also, we are "pinned" to requiring a realtime contact for an hour duration after the focal plane temperature reset at 18.0, and at least an hour before starting the pre-belt CTI measurement. This contact is to do the cold boot and reload patches. We will use need 8 new OBSIDs for the dark current measurements (3.3 sec and 9.9 sec exposures, for each of S and I array, for each of standard and +/- 5v clocking). We will use 6 new OBSIDs for the CTI measurements at 6 different temperatures. Note that the radiation belt pre- and post- CTI measurments of the external cal source should be assigned 3 OBSIDs: 1 for pre-belt measurement, 1 for the time in the belts, and 1 for the post-belt measurement. The post belt measurement will be made about 260:19 to 260:21. We should request an SRR playback at the END of that real time comm passage, to get this data quickly. ------------------------------------------------------- Dan Schwartz, MS #3 das@head-cfa.harvard.edu phone: (617)495-7232 FAX: (617)495-7356 cell phone: (617)512-5627 pager: 800-759-8352 PIN 1636502 or e-mail 1636502@skytel.com -------------------------------------------------------
