To:sot_shift from: Dan Schwartz date: 17 Sep 99, 02:00pm EDT Subject: SOT shift report, Shift L57 -------- See http://asc.harvard.edu/acis/SOT_reports/sot-shift.html, or /proj/ascwww/AXAF/extra/science/htdocs/acis/SOT_reports/Sep_17_1999_L57.txt. Shift L57 Start at 260:11:00 GMT = 07:00am 17 Sep EDT End 02:00pm 17 Sep SOT Lead DAS Spac/Aspect FOT/Sci liason HRC ACIS (Times will be given in GMT on day 260. In general times are rough, not precise.) PLAN Finish running load P14b: do OBSID 1252 to finish HR1099 observation using ACIS-S/HETG. P14b ends at 260:17:35:00 Load and activate P15. Next comm: 260:18:25 to 261:00:50. EVENTS Expect radiation exit at 260:10:56:07.620. Start shift out of comm. As stated in last report, H56, status was exactly as expected at last LOS. 18:10 AOS, Start comm early. Start CAP 440 NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS P14b will expire around 260:17:35, so there will be a gap before p15 takes over. Plan is to do the ACIS post-belt calibration via real time command when comm is established at 18:25, and have the P15 load take over roughly at ~20:30. Observing time on Abell 401 will be reduced by up to about an hour, or about 10%. We met at 1pm today in the action room to review the real time operations prior to the beginning of P15 load. These are to carry out the post-belt ACIS CTI measurements with their external radioactive source. This approves CAP 440 to change to OBSID 62535 for the HRC-S position. Then we will upload the P15 load, return to ACIS-S position, then activate the P15 load after we confirm we are in the proper initial configuration. ------------------------------------------------------- Dan Schwartz, MS #3 das@head-cfa.harvard.edu phone: (617)495-7232 FAX: (617)495-7356 cell phone: (617)512-5627 pager: 800-759-8352 PIN 1636502 or e-mail 1636502@skytel.com -------------------------------------------------------
