EVENTS DONE OBSID -------------- ---- ----- Start Shift 267:2330 1315 ----- Real time------ DSS-61 (Madrid) In radiation belts, See note 1 for state Start eclipse 268:0056 End eclipse 268:0205 LOS (planned) 268:0205 Attempt to recover COMM after planned Xmitter AOS 268:0215 End of shift 268:0230 NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS --------------------- 1) Chandra configuration at 268:000 was nominal with parameters as follows: PCAD MODE = NPT Stars: = 5 FIDS = 0 (see note 2) RA = 95.338798 DEC = 80.759593 ROLL = 85.854409 Format = 2 OBSID = 1315 SIM FA = -467 SIM TSC = -99616 (HRC-S) HETGA = 8.2 (IN) HETGB = 6.7 (IN) LETGA = 81.7 (OUT) LETGB = 79.8 (OUT) ACIS = VID Boards OFF HRC = All HV OFF 2) Three ACIS FID lights (2, 4 and 5) were turned on at 267:0623 for OBSID 1103, which is an ACIS-S/HETG observation. These lights are left on for the remainder of the P17 load. These ACIS FIDS were searched for in observation 1315, but they weren't found because the SIM had been translated to the HRC-S position for the rad belt passage. 3) Eclipse performance looked nominal, but the LOS prevented us from observing the peak voltage after exit from eclipse. Telemetry before and after LOS indicated nominal performance. 4) Output products for load P18 were produced a little after 7pm EDT. Initial review of the load by Bruce Twambly found that the HETG was not retracted prior to OBSID 123. There was also a search box overlap of 200 arcsec in one of the star acquisitions and some timing issues associated with monitor disabling during sim motions and grating motions. The load will have to be rebuilt tomorrow AM. Kevin has been notified of this. Also, mission planning is conducting their review now.
