ACIS Shift report H268 April 15 2000, GMT 106:22:30:00, EDT April 15, 2000 18:30 PLAN: Execute CAP 595 to test the 16row and 8row "Squeegy" mode on S0. SUMMARY: We performed 3 science runs tonight. The first was an optimized 16 row squeegy on S0. The second was an 8 row squeegy on S0. And the third was a control, non-squeegy run on S0. The 16 row squeegy results appear to be better than last week's 16 row squeegy (FWHM and peak flatter with row number). The 8 row squeegy does not appear to improve the performance as much as the 16 row squeegy. The bias maps for the 16 row and 8 row squeegy look similar except that the amount of charge is lower in the 8 row squeegy. These are only quick-look results and should be considered with caution. Once again all the ACIS realtime activities went "exactly as planned." Many thanks to everyone who contributed, especially Peter, Royce, and Andy for getting these complex loads built correctly and for the OC/CC for executing a long and complex realtime procedure with extraordinary efficiency. The COM was rock-solid on Madrid. 1) Detailed Timeline: GMT 106:22:20 AOS on DSS 54 (Madrid) 106:22:24 FP Temp = -119.1 C (sorry Andy !!!)
