Mission Planning (Dan/Paul/Kevin): - Offline Release 8.1a good to go. New star catalog AGASC1.4 being tested on 3rd string now. After testing and approval the revised catalog will be implemented on the offline systems 1 & 2 for mission plannning. Along with this a new set of characteristics with reduced error bars on star magnitudes will be implemented, providing for better star selection. This all should be done by tomorrow. - The next load will incorporate maneuvering thru perigee to reduce the ACIS focal plane temp rise. Preliminary estimate of the momentum accumulation thru one perigee pass is 17 ft-lbs. This is a significant amount, but the FOT will work on a long term strategy to reduce the momentum accumulation while at the same time maneuvering to keep the ACIS FP cold. Spacecraft Engineering (Jeff): - The fine attitude initialization scripts were tested yesterday on the ASVT. All was OK and they will go to FDB for approval today. SOT (Bill/Roger): - Radiation levels well below limits. - Roger discussed the results of the ACIS telecon held yesterday. ASCDSOPS(Joy Nichols): - No quick looks today. - Processing of the TOO (obsid 1701) was held up for lack of OBS Pars. This is an issue with the interface of the updated data processing software to the archive. GOT (Chris): - GRETA crash fixed by rebooting computers.
