Execute CAP 627E to retract LETG manually via manual "nudge moves". Radiation Environment: ACE proton levels are low - about 1000 in flux units. However, the Costello Kp is very high, 6.67. Kp was also decreasing. No need for telecon at present time. End of shift 225:2355 NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS --------------------- The retraction of the LETG went as planned. The motion was performed with the LETG B side lockout relay DISABLED such that the limit switches do not stop motor motion. A series of timed moves was used, an initial long move of 153 secs duration, followed by 9 short moves, each of 0.128 sec duration. The RETRACT LS's were checked after each move. After the 9th short move (10 overall moves) the B side RETR LS read RETR. The A side read NRET. Total time to retract was 154.152 (calculated from commanded step times, i. e., 153.000 + 9*0.128), which was well within the range of expected times.
