Flight Dyn/Mission Planning (Dan Shropshire/Ken Gage/Kevin Marsh): - Problem transferring state vector from DSN to database. Possibly Y2k issue in computation (not database itself) since this is first time that all vectors were in 2000. Several work-arounds exist, MSFC checking comp. - There is a problem scheduling the Jan16 load. The OFLS is not converging on a schedule, even though the observations were fed in linked (there are 51 observations, highest number yet). Will reduce the number of observations to get around the problem. There will be a telecon today with CSC Huntsville to discuss the issue. Need this load to be ready by Friday since it starts Sat night. Spacecraft (Leon McKendrick/Jeff Shirer): - Summarized yesterday's gyro telecon. New info presented was that classified program using exact same IRU has, over past 5 yrs, experienced current jogs which are as large or larger than we have seen on Chandra. IRU still working, but this program has less stringent requirements. The bias jogs from the classified program were not available, and they will be hard to compare anyway because the systems (Kalman filters, etc.) are different. The consensus was to stay on IRU1 and keep watching it and evaluating the data. There will be a another telecon next Monday. SOT (Bill Podgorski): - I reported briefly on Paul Plucinsky's E-mail discussion of the upconing use of FEP0 for 6 CCD operation. ASCDSOPS (Joy Nichols): - Two new quick looks available - Not yet processing current load since its not in archive 4) Quick Look data review: OBSID Target Time Comment ----- ------ -------------- ------- 00751 1E 1207.4-5209 2000:006:14:55 ACIS-S 00843 BL LACERTAE 2000:007:15:27 ACIS-I 00871 UGC 6456 2000:007:16:48 ACIS-S
