In general times are rough, not precise.) PLAN Continue running load JAN2300b. The first part of the globular cluster NGC5139 observation has been done, OBSID 653, and we will do ACIS CTI measurements prior to entering radiation belts at 13:52 and after exiting at 025:00:25. NGC5139 observations will resume with OBSID 1519 at 025:04:43. JAN3000 products should be sent out today to support a load review tomorrow. Final FEB0500 OR list expected by FOT today. Two more gyro current jogs, on Jan 16 and Jan 23. It was noticed that these produced noisy on-board attitude data for a period of several days, and which seemed to imply that the CHANDRA pointing stability requirement was not being met. At a side meeting we defined two FOT actions, to present the raw gyro count data, and to present the data showing deviations of individual star sightings. The latter should indicate actual spacecraft motions, which is the objective of the stability spec. There will also be a telecon today at 2:00 p.m. EST on this subject. The meet-me line is 712-271-0020, and the passcode is 32013. Dan Muleady will be here to give an updated review of the Chandra safing system, on Friday Jan 28, tentatively 9am to noon in the sixth floor lounge area at the OCC. There will be a dither telecon tagup tomorrow at 4pm. ACA and SI representatives are requested to participate to discuss the logic flow of the CAPs which will execute on Thursday to install the continuous dither patch. Image of quasar plus jet doesn't look right -- someone should check. Might just need a larger image scale. ------------------------------------------------------- Dan Schwartz, MS #3 das@head-cfa.harvard.edu phone: (617)495-7232 FAX: (617)495-7356 cell phone: (617)512-5627 pager: 800-759-8352 PIN 1636502 or e-mail 1636502@skytel.com -------------------------------------------------------
