Shift L363. Start at 202:12:00 GMT = 08:00am 20 Jul EDT End 12:00 noon 20 Jul SOT Lead DAS (Times will be given in GMT on day 202. In general times are rough, not precise.) PLAN Continue running load JUL1700. Finish OBSID 1828, ACIS-S/HETG observation of the SNR N132D. Watch ACE proton fluxes closely. Next Comms 202:21:00 to 22:00 203:07:25 to 08:25 203:15:20 to 16:20 204:00:10 to 02:10 204:10:00 to 11:00 204:17:00 to 18:20 205:03:00 to 04:00 205:10:10 to 11:50 205:19:50 to 21:50 HETG retraction in on-board load. EVENTS Status at LOS, 202:10:39, was as follows: PCAD MODE = NPNT CONTROL LAW FLAG = NPNT Stars: = 5 FIDS = 3 RA = 81.323 deg DEC = -69.648 deg ROLL = 144.235 deg Format = 2 OBSID = 1828 N132D SIM FA = -467 SIM TSC = 75623 (ACIS-S) HETG = IN ( 6.3 deg) LETG = OUT (78.3 deg) HRC-I HV is ON (NOTE: snapshot and shift report now give EPHIN rates in physical units, previously was in counts per readout.) EPHIN Geom = LARG E1300 = 0.3 LT 10.0 (RADMON P4GM = 4.1 LT 300. Triggers) P41GM = 0.0 LT 8.47 A-leak = 0.6760 mu-a B-leak = 0.1200 mu-a Ascending through 98126 km. ACIS focal plane temperature -119.9. No comm passes during this shift. NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS EPHIN rates continue to decline P4GM is still a factor of > 100 over its usual rate at ~100,000 km, but another factor of almost 100 below trigger levels. ACE 130-214 keV protons are about a factor of 10 higher than yesterday, at ~10,000 per (cm2-s-ster-MeV), and fluctuating. This would be a concern for ACIS, except that we have the HETG in place, so the effects are attenuated by an estimated factor of five. From the 9am status meeting: 2 supports with 34m, 2 SSR dumps were good. Last segment of the JUL1700 load was uplinked, on-board commands are good through 106:05:32 GMT (1:32am EDT on Monday). Load review of JUL2300 was substantially successful. Needed 4 new star catalogs and momentum dumps. New products have been issued and there will be a load review at 1pm today. The 3rd string will be down today, for system maintenance work. Analysis of the data processed through the DSN 26m automation equipment shows some anomalies. E.g., CXC data system operations sees some non-sensical OBSID changes which last 8 minor frames. GOT has obtained the data which was recorded in parallel with the old equipment and is analyzing and comparing.
