In general times are rough, not precise.) PLAN Continue running May2800c load. Finish observing 3C 351, OBSID 435, with ACIS-S. Then do OBSID 939, ACIS-I of the unidentified ASCA source AX J1510+0742, and OBSID 367 of the GRAVITATIONALLY LENSED QUASAR Q1422+231 with ACIS-S. Subsequent observations will be ACIS-S/HETG, a followup of the TOO for the black hole candidate RXTE J1550-564, OBSID 690, followed by CTI measurements surrounding perigee passage. NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS From the 9am status meeting: 3 good supports. Uploaded last segment of MAY2800c, load is good through 156:20:00. 26m automation test last night had some problems: At the high altitude and 512 Kbps TM rate, we should have had TM dropouts but these were not indicated. The VCDU header which was added was incorrect. The DSN desktop computers couldn't process data at 256 kbps when we switched. Commanding through the automation equipment did work properly. New products for JUN0400 were circulated yesterday. Load review at 1pm today. After JUN0400 load is approved, JUN1100 products will be circulated (i.e., could be today). A momentum auto-unloading event was performed by Chandra for the first time during the interval 151:17:19:22 to 151:17:27:33. Momentum unloading had always been predicted and performed via stored commands, so the auto-unload was unexpected. This was near perigee, so a gravity gradient torque larger than we calculated is suspected. Everything behaved properly, as designed. In the OCC, database and command servers, and the telemetry data files, will be backed up tomorrow starting 9:30 am EDT. This is a routine monthly backup. ------------------------------------------------------- Dan Schwartz, MS #3 das@head-cfa.harvard.edu phone: (617)495-7232 FAX: (617)495-7356 cell phone: (617)512-5627 pager: 800-759-8352 PIN 1636502 or e-mail 1636502@skytel.com -------------------------------------------------------
