The anomaly was quickly diagnosed by the FOT. The ACIS parameter block command WT0023C014 was not finished before the attempted execution of the next command in the load - 2MCMRASL (HRC motor logic ON command). This caused the load to hang at the 2MCMRASL command waiting for the time to be correct (would only happen after VCDU rollover). From load timeline report: _____________________ ________ ______________ _ ____________________________________ ________ | GMT | Orbit | Command |C| Command | Command | (extended) | /DSN | Mnemonic |r| Description | Data | | Event | |t| | (Hex) |_____________________|________|______________|_|____________________________________|________ 2000:157:07:12:30.856 WT0023C014 2000:157:07:12:31.203 COSATDLY NA//NA//-2//0 92C D41C 2000:157:07:12:31.203 2MCMRASL SI/12/SD/0///64DE020 PREVENTS MOTION 64D E020 The S/C attitude was correct for the next series of observations (1734 - 1740) but the SI state and SIM FA were not. Also, the load hung with momentum monitoring and momentum auto-unloading disabled. A decision was made to run SCS 107, the SI safing script, to put the instruments in a safe condition. This was done and verified as shown above. CAPs 612 and 329 were then run to enable the momentum monitor and momentum auto-unloading (612) and dump momentum (329). This was all done and verified before COMM was ended at about 1409. 4) Re-intercept of load: A telecon was held at 10:30 local time to go over the anomaly and plans for recovery. It was decided to re-intercept the load just before OBSID 898, at about 0400 UT on day 158. The next scheduled COMM period is between 2100 and 2200 today (5pm to 6pm). It was decided to request added COMM after the 5pm COMM and before the load start time (approx 0400 UT).
