Observing MCG -6-30-15 (obsid 00433) with ACIS-S/HETG during 160:1120 pass. Radiation levels very high, telecon at 0630 EDT to decide what to do about it. Last P4GM level was 1704 vs. RADMON trigger of 3542, so RADMON may have triggered. It DID trigger (see below). Indications of this were: - S/C downlink telem had to be commanded on from ground - SIM was at HRC-S posn (-99615) - ACIS science was idle - SCS 107 was Disabled and at step 107 The only issue with SCS107 was that the HETG had NOT retracted as expected. This was due to the fact that SCS 107 has not yet been patched to use MCE-B. The fact that the HETG is in is not a problem for now although the reason for its not retracting must be understood prior to starting another load. Both ACIS and HRC have been safed correctly per procedure. HRC will have to run CAP 613 again at some point to move the door back to the 10,000 step open posn. 4) Notes from 9:00am meeting: Operations (Leon): - 3 supports, 3 SSR dumps yesterday, all OK - Loads inactive now. - 26m automation testing done last night telemetry looks OK, headers must be examined - RADMON triggered on EPHIN P4GM channel sometime after 160:0838 when obsid was changed to 433. - Next supports: 160:2045-160:2145 161:0445-161:0545 161:1330-161:1530 Mission Planning (Dan/Ken/Kevin): - Discussed options for replanning load (see below) Spacecraft Engineering (Jeff): - Current attitude good for 10 days. SOT (Bill Podgorski): - HRC needs to run CAP 613 to cleanup door position. This will be done at this afternoon's COMM period (2045 GMT). 5) Replan telecon discussions: Several options for replan were gone over. We are now replan load to pick up observing just prior to the TOO (BHXB, ACIS-s/HETG) scheduled for 161:1139. Loads will be built and sent out for review this afternoon. Uplink is planned for the 161:0445 pass (12:45 am tonight). The load will start at 161:1140 with the TOO. The replanned load will intercept the JUN11 load at the original time (day 164:0000). This will be done only if the radiation levels have diminished such that we are below the RADMON thresholds 1/2 to 2/3 AND the ACE flux in the 130-214 keV proton channel are below 300,000. Also, HRC will have to have run CAP 613 to move the door to 10,000 steps open and the HETG anomaly must be understood. (FOT thinks they know the cause, will confirm with telemetry from last dump). Note that we have a pass at 161:1330 and will be able to terminate the load if the radiation levels go up.
