Expected activities will be: - format 1. - use CAP 613 to move the HRC door 9000 steps in the open direction, since SCS 107 (the SI safing command sequence) closed the HRC door by 9000 steps from its "mostly closed" position. - disable SCS 105. This prevents SCS107 reclosing the HRC door from the "mostly closed" state. This can be done since no HRC observations are planned in the near future. - format 2 2000 UTC: If EPHIN levels are low enough (P4GM < 2000), do the following: - change obsid to 62882 - re-enable SCS 107 - re-enable RADMON - run CAP 616 to perform ACIS-S CTI 2120 UTC: SOT/ACIS decided EPHIN P4GM is too high (50% of threshold) to do a CTI measurement. FOT MP has released a JUN08 replan, to resume science with obsid 679. It will be reviewed tonight, and loaded onto Chandra during the 161:0445-0545 UTC DSN contact, if FOT, SOT, SI and project science reps concur that the space radiation environment is safe enough. 5) The failed retraction of the HETG during the SI safing (SCS 107) execution is thought to be understood: the onboard SCSs responsible for HETG retraction still use MCE-A. However, the LETG has a problem "retract state" limit switch used by MCE-A. Therefore, even though the LETG was retracted, the MCE-A limit switch showed not retracted, and hence the MCE-A did not retract the HETG. This is being checked by the FOT. 6) There will be a Go/No-Go decision meeting tonight at 11:45 pm EDT, to decide if the proton rates are low enough to load the JUN0800A load to Chandra during the 0445 UTC DSN contact. In addition, the meeting will set a threshold of acceptability for the EPHIN rates actually observed on Chandra during the 0445 UTC DSN contact, to also be a part of a Go/No-Go decision about the JUN0800 load. The telecon number for the meeting will be (305) 503 1818 with passcode 421 (no # required). 7) Quick Look data review: There are no new quicklook datasets this shift.
