The Proxima Centauri observation will also occur without the HETG. XTE J1550-564 is at about 0.4 Crab. A small HETG retraction was performed today, to attempt to set the A-side limit switch to the retracted state. Only momentary closure of the switch was achieved. That data, together with data from previous HETG motions, are being analyzed. FOT Mission Planning is preparing a replacement observing sequence without OTGs for the next few days. The FOT, Kodak TRW West and the SOT are preparing a recovery sequence for OTG operations. Further HETG testing will occur tomorrow.
