Doing OBSID 62059, CAL-ER, near perigee. Next pass, today, 6:30-7:30 pm EDT will be used for performing experiments with small HETG insertion and retraction motions. EVENTS DONE OBSID -------------- ---- ----- 0 fids, 5 stars 1227 62059 LOS 1230 Notes from 9 am meeting ------------------------ Ops: 4 supports, no cmd load onboard Mission planning: they spent time yesterday rescheduling DSN for added coverage of HETG tests; they are now rebuilding loads w/o gratings. The new load will go from 2000:031:03:00 to end of week. They are ready to support B side operation. Spacecraft eng'ng: SOT Lead: proton flux is low and decreasing. ASCDS: no QL processing right now; remus server is down. This also prevents us from getting the snapshot. CXC MGR: bimonthly today all day in conf rm. Data ---- On colossus at 1241 GMT.(/dsops/GOT/input), - nothing; we can't get to colossus - probably related to remus failure. Notes from 11 am HETG anomaly meeting ------------------------------------- Failure modes were reviewed. The number one suspect is the A RETR microswitch. We may be retracting into the bumper spring if the switch is not operating, with oscillation taking place. At this evening's pass, we'll try the B side motor control electronics and microswitch. The plan is to move a small amount toward the inserted position, not enough to get HETG into the HRMA field of view, then move back to the retracted position, watching both the A and B switch readings in format 4. Evaluation of QL data --------------------- The following observations should be available for review. If there is no comment after the entry, it means that there is no record of ascdsops QL processing. If it has been reviewed by SOT Lead, a review evaluation comment is given. If it is in the ascsdops record but not listed as QL processed, the ascdsops comment is given.
