ACIS Shift report M304 May 22 2000, GMT 143:21:30:00, EDT May 22, 2000 17:30 PLAN: Execute CAP 607 to run the 16row Squeegy with the initial frame flushes. The hope is that this will produce a stable, albeit smaller, improvement in the spectral resolution during the run. SUMMARY: We ran a looooooonnnngg (10 ks) 16 row Squeegy run tonight to verify that the initial frame flushes removed the bias instability. The quick-look analysis indicated that the bias was indeed stable to within 0.5 ADU during the run. There was an improvement in the CTI and spectral resolution, although not as large as the first frames of the Squeegy runs without the frame flushes. These quick results will need confirmation from a more detailed analysis, but it appears as if tonight's test was succesful in removing the instability.
