Dan's attempt to back up/proj/telmon/tlm/raw/20001??/ and /2000001 through /2000047 directories as a tar file failed. Have restarted just doing /20000?? and will check integrity before deleting the data... Second attempt also failed. Wrote a short archive to test the device, which again seemed to fail. Tried the same tape on 'gorton' in ACIS room, and that drive read it correctly. Thus have restarted the archive as above (at about 3:15pm) and have concluded the tape drive on 'unagi' is NOT WORKING PROPERLY. Next shift: check the tape in the drive on coot in the drive on 'gorton' [tar -tvf /dev/rmt/0] and if ok then directories /proj/telmon/tlm/raw/[2000000-2000099]/ can be deleted. I have deleted NOTHING as of this writing. 3) Radiation environment low, and no ACIS accumulated dosage since HRC has been in the focus position since emerging from the Rad Zone.
