Spacecraft Engineering (Jeff): - Lunar eclipse SIM held yesterday, caught one problem which will be addressed at 10pm mtg (see below). - LETG retract successful - Star meetings WILL continue SOT (Bill Podgorski): - Full halo CME at 299:0826 UT (yesterday, Oct 25 at 0826UT) - ACE radiation levels rising, probably from earlier event - EPHIN P4GM a bit high during last pass - Discussed OTG telecon results DSOPS(Joy): - One quick look (see below) GOT(Chris/Ken): - Still in split string, will bu full dual string for lunar eclipse tomorrow - New Online 3.7.1 and Online 9.0 will be installed Nov 1/2, time now 11:40pm Nov 1 - 1:00pm Nov 2. Roger: - Issue of load stoppage (by RADMON trigger or manual command) prior to lunar eclipse was raised, and he directed that a separate command load be prepared to handle the lunar eclipse in case this (unlikely but possible) event occurs. 3) Quick look data: Seq # ObsID It Target start time SI Grat Comment ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 200082 00975 00 AD LEO 2000:298:15:13:42.567 48.2 HRC-S LETG 4) Lunar Eclipse Meeting - SIM identified an eclipse overload monitor problem which if not corrected would cause safe mode entry. - Keith Patrick presented the details of the problem and the recommended solution, which is to disable the Eclipse Overload safing action during the eclipse. - TRW/FOT believe that the problem is well understood and the solution correct, and the entire group concurred. Decided to disable this safing action during next pass (a CAP is being written now) - Also, normal earth eclipses are not subject to this problem, but Keith recommended that further verification of this be done.
