We ran SCS 107 to safe the instruments. Solar x-ray flux portends more for 19 Apr. Measurement Observed Limit ----------------- -------- ----- ACE 2 hr fluence **5.7e8** 3.6e8. From Mike Juda: "We need to have a maneuver to a non-earth blocked attitude for uplink at the 23:00GMT pass this evening. - Earliest intercept is at radiation zone exit. - ObsID 2953 (SGR A*) starting at ~2002:109:10:58 is coordinated. This re-plan is a re-build of the current schedule with the planned maneuver for perigee passage an update of the attitude for rad-zone exit in the first load segment and out-bound CTI and science in subsequent segments. Decision on continuation of science mission would be at the 2002:108:08:30 pass (12:30AM EDT). Load review for this would be sometime this afternoon. Fall-back plan: Get the maneuver part of the above on-board an then try to intercept to pick up with ObsID 2953." S/C: The EIO/EPHIN glitch counter software patch was tested and needs rework. We are now planning for uplink next week. GOT: - DATA: - SOT: Proton rates are high. There is a long duration M class flare in progress accompanied by a full halo CME. Its effects will likely arrive at the Earth on April 19. GOES x-ray flux is presently very high, C-M class, 3-4 hr duration. MEETINGS: -------- Flight Director Board tomorrow at 2 pm.
