All Science instruments are safe, the manauver in progress also completed nominally. Loads are currently NOT running. S/C is safe in this attitude until at least the next perigee passage. Radiation discussion: A radiation discussion was held after this morning's 9am status meeting. Curent soft proton rates are at 8000 and rising. EPHIN rates as of last COMM were way above trip levels and GOES-8/10 predictors of EPHIN rates were high as well, but decreasing slowly. Shock from April 21 CME should pass sometime today and rates should begin to drop more rapidly. A replan load (APR2302) is in preparation. Nominal plan will start observations after next perigee passage, at about 113:2130, with obsid 3476 (not run in APR20 load). Pool targets 3022 and 3033 will be dropped from this load. Extra COMM (DSS-66) is being requested to cover the startup in real-time, allowing a decision to start or not based on post-perigee EPHIN rates. This option would not permit an outbound ACIS CTI run from the load. A real-time CTI run startup is being considered, started during the 1600-1700 DSS-54 pass. A backup to this plan would be to start 12 hours later. FOT MP plans to issue products this afternoon for a load review at 5pm EDT on the normal number. (405-244-5060, pin 1156#). Radiation situation will also be discussed. CAP's to re-enable SCS 107 and (possibly) to start in real-time an ACIS CTI will be reviewed. Was observed in real-time COMM and ran nominally. - Dumps current - Plots on web have been in low resolution (for several days). Will be investigated. Mission Planning (Ken): - APR2002A rad replan load approved Friday - APR2202D rerun for continuity and also approved. - APR2002A uplinked and started Saturday, but terminated due to high EPHIN rates (as noted above) - Replan under way (as described above) S/C Engineering(Dan): - SCS 107 run was nominal - Eric/Dan think they have solved EPHIN HW failure flag problem. Is due to timing of RADMON enables/disables. Will report when they have confirmed this. - EPHIN glitch counter limit raised to 2 - will prevent unnecessary load terminations SOT(Bill): - See above for radiation discussion.
