Observing 'GX 1+4' (obsid 2710)with ACIS-S/HETG. Following this we observe 'RXJ1856.5-3754' (obsid 4286) with HRC-I. This will be a calibration observation with ACIS in the stowed position under the SIM cover to calibrate the particle background in the normal imaging mode. At the same time, HRC-I will be observing RXJ1856.5 far off-axis in NIL mode to calibrate that detector's QE. SIM will be offset from normal HRC-I position. Solar proton levels are very low, about 200. Solar activity in the next few days is expected to be low to moderate.
