SOT Lead Mark Freeman (Times will be given in GMT on day 238.) PLAN ---- Running load AUG2602D with obsid 2549, an ACIS-I observation of X-ray emission from stars in Orion. Steve O'Dell's latest radiation update: "Radiation OK - Weak shock (likely from Aug-24 X3) passed-ACE@10:40UT, effecting little change in suprathermal protons. ACE-P3 is fluctuating around ~10,000 p/(cm^2 s sr MeV); rates in all higher channels are dropping." This means we will be borderline but hopefully complete the orbit w/o exceeding the radiation budget (assuming a drop in the rates is forthcoming and barring another significant rad event). HETG in for second half of orbit.
