Do obsid 2667, ACIS-S observation of EM CYG, simultaneous with HST to seek a signature of magnetic field activity in an accretion disk. Then follows obsid 2981, with ACIS-S, looking at the quasar PKS 2215+020. This is potentially one of the most seminal observations done by Chandra, a search for a previously unknown X-ray jet at a redshift 3.5. If successful, it could be a clue to to many more previously unrecognized X-ray jets in currently unidentified ROSAT X-ray sources. No Comm this shift. From the 9am status meeting: Three supports, no problems. On-board loads good until 244:00:44. SEP0202B had to be rescheduled due to poor acquisition stars available for one of the observations near the lunar eclipse. (That observation can get better stars at another time when it has a different roll angle.) Load review of SEP0202C today at 1pm. There will need to be a follow-on review by ACA only to verify updated star catalogs. SQUIRT will be taken down this morning. SI EGSE's will need to reconnect.
