Finish obsid 4359, another ACIS-S observation of EM CYG, simultaneous with HST, to seek a signature of magnetic field activity in an accretion disk. Then two short calibration observations of CAS A before perigee passage: Obsid 2877 on ACIS-S chip S3, and obsid 2878 offset on HRC-I. No comm this shift. NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS Tracking 4 stars, searching for a fifth very faint star. Held a discussion of the idle time resulting from the late recognition that the L1527 target did not have suitable stars. We think that use of SAUSAGE by the FOT/MP during the scheduling process will alleviate this situation due to the earlier recognition of the lack of stars. SOT/MP will prepare backup OR's (when possible) when they are asked for very specific target constraints. We will also investigate the cdo process for approving blank field observations. From the 9am status meeting: Three 34m supports, no problems. Last segment of AUG2602D was uplinked, on-board loads are good through 245:14:35. SEP0202D incorporated revised star catalogs. Can be signed off after a double-checking that ACIS power is not needed during the eclipse. The SEP0902 load needed rework since SEP0202 ended fifteen minutes earlier after deletion of the L1527 target which did not have suitable acquisition stars. Products for SEP0902 should be out today for email review by Tuesday (note Monday holiday).
