Start outbound CTI at 010:1450 (obsid 61353). Current radiation levels are moderate (proton flux 2,000 - 3,000). A total of 7 C and 2 M class events were recorded on January 9. Region 9773 produced an M1.6/1F flare at 11:30 and a major M9.5/2B flare at 18:01 UTC. The absence of LASCO and SOHO images since just after noon on January 9 makes it difficult to tell if there was a CME associated with the major flare. There were no type II or IV radio sweeps, increasing the possibility that there was no significant CME. FOT S/C eng staff will meet today to go over sim results before tomorrow's debrief. - Some temperature limit trips on propulsion line temp. Will investigate revising limits. - ACIS limit violations Jan 7 and 8 for "FIFO empty" flag (1STAT7ST) being true for 1 major frame. ACIS team (Paul P., Peter F.) analysis indicates that this is a normal occurrance and that this limit violation should be ignored unless it persists for several major frames. - FDB presentations on eclipse preparations and CARD change for Leonid meteors. SOT(Bill): - Radiation levels are moderate but rising, flux levels rose to 3,000 over last few hours. An M9.5 flare occurred yesterday at 009:1801. Do not know if there was an associated CME. Watch for effects tomorrow. DSOPS(Jessie): - Several QL's, see below GOT(Mike/Chris): - Now back into failover mode after completion of Simulation - Were not able to get dead dump of SSR to work from ASVT yesterday during sim. Will investgate. Meetings/events: - 10am, CSC/Lockheed tagup, computer migration discussion following - 2pm, FDB - 3pm, OFLS meeting Roger: - Briefing at AAS on imaging of galactic center, picked up by media (Boston Globe, NY Times).
