This was due to high solar radiation conditions, which had been discussed in a telecon prior to stoppage. At the time of stoppage we were performing the first XTE J1118 observation (obsid 2751). The current S/C attitude is good until 012:2200 UTC. The current recovery plan is to try to restart on day 12 at about 0426 UTC, to pickup the second coordinated XTE J1118 observation with HST simultaneity (obsid 3422) at its originally scheduled time. The ACE soft proton flux peaked at over 40,000 last night (about 011:0000) and has slowly been decreasing since that time. It is about 24,000 at 0800 LOCAL. Hard proton levels are also high and slowly decreasing, but still below the EPHIN trips. S/C Engineering(Dan): - ACIS came close to crashing the BEP during the SCS107 run.
