REAL TIME OBSERVATIONS GMT OBSID ----------------------------------------------------------------- Stars present in slots 0-3 & 6-7. No fids. 1410 61338 Notes from 9 am meeting ------------------------ OPS: Passes 3 over the last day(s) Dumps current Data loss - Load is good -> load is stopped CAPs - Next passes Special coverage from 1500 - 2110 2115, 0515 MP: We have started the recovery plan, to begin observing at 2215, well before the overlap with the HST simultaneous observation at 0100. S/C: We are testing the ASVT hardware system needed for the PCAD patch. GOT: The ASVT data processing dead dump worked successfully. The old CM data are now accessible. DATA: - SOT: Proton rates are low. There was a long duration C class flare today at 0300, but no CME reported. There is a low chance of a CME arriving within 96 hrs and a low chance of M or X class flares in the next 48 hours. MEETINGS: -------- We will have: a tagup telecon at 11:00 am, a load review for recovery tentatively at 2:00 pm. The Flight Director Board at 2:00 pm is cancelled. Data ---- On colossus (/dsops/GOT/input), - Jan 24 08:05 2002_023_1900_024_0411_Dump_EM_40394.gz Evaluation of QL data --------------------- Target: OBSID SI SOT Eval. ---------------- -- --------- NGC 5548:obs3383 HRC-S/LETG OK NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS --------------------- During the pass last night, the OC noticed that no stars were acquired at the end of the maneuver. Chandra then went into Bright Star Hold mode at 024/03:46:57. Eric & Dan came to the OCC and verified this by examining RT data. They checked the load and verified that it looked OK. Chandra had just completed a 160 degree maneuver. The destination attitude was 150" off, outside the 120" aspect camera acquisition window. This is understood to be a result of PCAD calibration inaccuracy plus stellar aberration for maneuvers in this direction. There is no evidence for any gyro anomalies. We are working on a patch to prevent this type of error in the future, which awaits ASVT reconfiguration and testing.
