ACE 2 hr fluence is 9.2e5 vs. threshold 3.6e8. CRM-based orbital fluence is 1.6e7 vs. threshold 3.0e9. Chandra is in the solar wind. 4) Quick Look data review (OK unless noted): There were no new quick look data in this shift. 5) Recovery from Bright Star Hold. The cause for the transition to Bright Star Hold was a large maneuver, which had an eigenaxis aligned such that it combined with the slightly inaccurate scale-factor and alignment matrix for the gyros on Chandra, to produce a maneuver error of about 150 arcsec. This was larger than the 120 arcsec search boxes commanded for acquisition stars in the aspect camera at the end of the maneuver, so that the star acquisition failed. A new science mission load was built earlier today, and reviewed and approved today, and uplinked to Chandra. (Very fast work!) This load has been screened for similar large maneuver errors. Additional maneuver error checking will be applied to all future loads. In addition, a corrected gyro scale-factor and alignment matrix is currently undergoing testing, and will be uplinked to Chandra following test review and approval, to eliminate a large fraction of the current Chandra maneuver error. The large maneuver had been scheduled so that Chandra could perform several time constrained observations this week.
