There was one CME yesterday, believed to be pointing away from Earth, but there was a big jump in the ACE electron flux at about the same time, so we may see some protons headed our way soon. S/C: We will have a CAP review for the IRU patch after tomorrow morning's 9:00 meeting. GOT: - DATA: SOT: An impressive full halo CME was observed in LASCO C2 images starting at 09 July 19:31 UTC. As there was no significant activity on the visible disk at the time, the distribution of ejected material indicates a source several days behind the southwest limb. Yet there was a big jump in the electron flux at ACE at the same time, suggesting there will be low energy protons on the way. X-ray flux had a some short peaks, nothing major. Low probablility of CME to impact earth within 96 hours. Moderate probability of M and X class flares within the next 48 hours. MEETINGS: -------- Hubble visit 9 am today and tomorrow.
