The shutdown interrupted the last half of the RSJ 1709 ToO followup observation. Products are expecteed out by COB today. S/C: There was an EPHIN caution at 83 C yesterday. We also saw a long term trend on duty cycle for zone 20 on the periscope heater. Will investigate. GOT: The TST room clock will be fixed. DATA: We are having trouble with OBSID 3231, IFR 59281 processing. It is being worked. SOT: There was a long duration M2.2 event which peaked at 23:10 UT March 15, accompanied by a fairly fast full halo CME. This is undoubtedly the cause of the proton event that forced the Chandra Science shutdown this morning. A long duration M1.0 event peaked at 02:31 UTC on March 18. A full halo CME resulted, that will likely reach the Earth sometime on March 20. Proton rates are very high. LASCO images are only available thru 15 Mar 2002 18:18 GMT. There is a high chance of a CME arriving within 96 hrs and a high chance of M or X class flares in the next 48 hours. MEETINGS: -------- Radiation replan tagup 9:00 AM EST Tues. (commands to be uplinked around midnight Tuesday) or 0700 GMT Thurs. 21 Mar. There is a question whether to include the rest of the ToO followup to RSJ 1709, to be resolved by the uplink scientist, Yousaf. Also, the first 1/2 of a split HETG observation was lost. We will try to get it in the restart for this week.
