Observing 'NGC 6482' (obsid 3218) with ACIS-S. Radiation is now moderate and declining (flux under 2000) after weekend's events: Soft proton flux peaked at over 400,000 on Saturday as the effects of the CME of May 16 hit. Telecon held at 4pm Saturday, decided not to stop loads (quoting Paul's E-mail): 'We held a radiation telecon today at 4pm EST. Although the ACE 112-187 keV proton rate got as high as 423,000, the fluence is only 7.8e+8 because the HETG is in. We expect this storm to decay rapidly because the high energy protons have not increased...' This decision was confirmed at 8pm Saturday night. Radiation: Soft proton flux is moderate (under 2000). EPHIN rates also low. Today's Space Weather: Solar activity is expected to be low to moderate. Region 9957 is capable of producing a major event.
