NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS Protons in the ACE 112-187 kev, the GOES 4-9 MEV, and EPHIN P4 bands have all been about a factor of 10 above ambient levels for the past couple of days, but still factors of 100 below triggering shutdown. A kickoff telecon was held yesterday to start the TRW/West ACIS filter contamination/decontamination study. We expect this study to provide a model which can be run with various temperature inputs for the focal plane and detector housing, and which will predict the micrograms per cm^2 per sec removal of material from various surfaces. The fidelity will depend on identifying the actual species condensed on the filter, and acquiring accurate data on their volatility at cryogenic temperatures. From the 9am status meeting: Three supports, no issues except that black phones were needed as the voice loops weren't working. First segment of the NOV0402A load was uplinked, on-board loads are good until 309:10:17. NOV1102 products should be out today for a sit-down load review on Monday. The LEONID encounter planning was approved by the FD CCB yesterday, and will be used in the NOV1802 schedule. A convolutional encoding test which Rich Myers conducted yesterday on ASVT proceeded without any issues. The IST resolved yesterday's problem between JPL/GSFC regarding the voice loops.
