S/C: Rino Giordano reported an ACIS PSMC box trip on yellow limit at 30.6 degrees. The silver-teflon in that area is likely degrading. It will be discussed with Paul Plucinsky. We will gather more info on the materials used at that location. Another nearby thermistor at the translation table is reading high. This occurred after operation at pitch angles of 48 degrees for 8 hours, preceded by a period at pitch angle of 67 degrees. At these attitudes, the sun shines directly on the ACIS area and in reflection from the OBA. The Flight Operations Manager will review findings with Rino. GOT/IST: The EHS and the A firewall will be down today from 9:30- 1:30 pm. DATA: There are no QLs today. SOT: Very minor activity on the Sun for the past two days. Low probability of CME to impact earth within 96 hours. Moderate probability of M and X class flares within the next 48 hours. MEETINGS -------- TRW all hands at the OCC today 11:30 to 3:00.
