There was a CME at 08h UTC yesterday that could affect us. Also, three moderately strong x-ray events occurred very recently today; we don't yet know if they had associated CMEs. Products will be out late Monday. S/C: Dan Shropshire reported EPHIN at 88.4 F yesterday. We continue to watch it. Meanwhile we are investigating to find out what behavioral changes we might expect if it heats up further. The PSMC heating is being studied. We don't yet know whether it is being caused by prolonged stays at the sun angle that allows direct illumination of the PSMC, or if there is some degradation of thermal coatings. GOT/IST: The A firewall will be down today until ~ 1:00 pm EDT. DATA: Rapid processing for obs 3208 is on schedule. SOT: A slow full halo CME was first observed in LASCO C3 images near 08h UTC on September 26; it likely had a backside origin, because it was not accompanied by an x-ray event. There have been several x-ray events today, but we await the LASCO images to see if there were associated CMEs. Low probability of CME to impact earth within 96 hours. Low probability of M and X class flares within the next 48 hours.
