S/C: The gyro #1 current noise occasionally reached the new yellow limit of 170 mA yesterday, then settled down to the 140-150 range. Today, it remains predominantly in the 140-150 range. The base current is ~140, whereas it has been ~150 since 03 April when it moved up from a base of ~130. New monitor windows are being added to the ACA for the APR2803 load in preparation for lowering the temperature of the ACA by 1 degree per week for five weeks. GOT/IST: - DATA: Further investigation of the obs4434 anomaly: there was a SIM move after the start-science command was executed, as is normal. However, the data taken during the move are included in the level 1 processing that we see in quick look. This caused extraneous traces in the image. The data from the move are not from the good times intervals, so the artifact in the cc image is excluded in level 2 processing. SOT: GOES x-ray flux: There was a large spike in x-ray flux, up to M class, at about 01:00 UTC. It was of short duration, but bears watching.
