Observing TYCHO'S SNR (obsid 3837) with ACIS-I. Terminate APR2803B and start TOO laod APR0303B. First observation in TOO load is 'NGC 4450' (obsid 3997) at 120:2248. TOO observation is 'H 1743-322' (obs 3803). Soft proton levels have decreased to below 100, but there is an increased chance for a major flare from region 349. 3-day Solar-Geophysical Forecast issued Apr 29 at 22:00 UTC Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be at low to moderate levels. Regions 337 and 349 have the potential for M-class events. Region 349 could produce a major event. Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be unsettled to active. A returning coronal hole is expected to rotate into a geo-effective position on day one of the period and may produce active to isolated minor storm levels during the period. Finally got telemetry and ran an extra 12 minutes to get all SSR data - Uplinked two new TOO load (APR3003B) segments, active thru 123/1801 - Three CAPs run: * 844 at 119:2154 APR28 load replacement with TOO loads * 845 at 119:2203 enable SCS29 * 846 at 119:2331 re-emable dither - Dumps current Mission Planning (Ken): - TOO loads APR3003B approved and uplinked. Will start today at 2200 - Working MAY05 loads. Momentum dump on Tuesday needs attention. * Products out today for load review tomorrow. S/C Engineering(Dan): - SOT discovered that dither was not enabled. * Was disabled in ACA dark current cal procedure and never re-enabled. * CAP 846 prepared and executed to re-enable dither * No safety or instrument concerns. Observars will evaluate effects on data quality * OC's are checking dither state routinely, so this was not picked up on-console (dither state was correct). * Will look for a better way to check out issues like this (is a load review issue) - Gyro still noisy. Longest period of high noise to date.
