Shift L1261. Start at 003:13:00 GMT = 08:00am 03 Jan EST End 10:00am 03 Jan SOT Lead DAS (Times will be given in GMT on day 003.) PLAN ---- Continue running load DEC2502B, the two week, TOO interrupt load. Finish the ACIS-S obsid 4009, of the elliptical galaxy NGC5845, which has a massive black hole but no optical nor radio nuclear emission. Then do ACIS-I obsid 3785, the followup part of the TOO for the short-duration gamma ray burst GRB021201; ACIS-S obsid 4059, a search for a "buried" AGN core in the starburst galaxy NGC 2623; and ACIS-I obsid 3585, part of Leon VanSpeybroeck's Telescope Scientist program to determine H0 and q0 via the Sunyaev Zel'dovich effect in clusters of galaxies. NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS From the 9am status meeting: Two 26-m supports, no issues. First segment of JAN0603B was uplinked, on-board loads good through 007:02:05. Three DSN passes on DSS-24 have been changed to DSS-27. The times have changed slightly and been extended to 2 hour passes. This is due to changes in data processing at DSS-24 which results in a single intermingled string of VC0 and VC1 data, which we are not set up to process. JAN0603B loads were approved yesterday. The JAN1303 week will be entirely Orion Nebula observations. Products expected out next Monday, (possibly today). Perihelion passage is tomorrow. We may then expect a trend toward lower maximum temperatures. JPL voice loop problems have been fixed. Firewall testing on OCC-A will be from 10am to 2pm today.
