First segment of the JAN2703B load was uplinked. On-board loads good until 028:06:15. Yesterday's penumbral eclipse was routine. Temperature of the solar array was somewhat cooler than predicted: 106 vs 114 deg. There is a large margin to 96 deg before the software would connect the batteries, but the discrepancy will be investigated as part of the entire eclipse cycle report. Paul Levitt will give a training class Tuesday, Jan 28, at 2:30pm, on the risk management task which is an action from MSFC on the Chandra project. The DSS-24 support at 025:2225 will be a test of spacecraft timing. We will disable the convolutional coding and run through the telemetry rates 64, 128, 256, 512, and 1024 kbps downlink. A dummy SSR dump will take place, but no real data will flow. The pass has been extended by 1/2 hour in case extra time is needed for the test. The CAP was reviewed and signed yesterday.
